Introducing Hurlands

We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Hurlands, a brand new pickleball and padel club in Farnham, Surrey, set to bring something exciting to the local sports and social scene.

Alongside the courts and club, Kalm Kitchen will be running the Kalm Club café and restaurant, creating a relaxed space for players and guests to refuel, catch up and enjoy delicious food and drink. To find out a bit more about what Hurlands is all about, we sat down with our Hurlands Hospitality and Operations Manager, Edward.

So, Hurlands has officially opened. What can people expect in these first few weeks?

We’re so excited to have finally launched Hurlands and Kalm Club. The first few weeks are all about welcoming people in, letting them explore the space, try the courts and get a feel for what Hurlands is about. Courts are now available to be booked via the Hurlands website and app

For anyone who hasn’t come across Hurlands yet, how would you describe it?

Hurlands is a club for everyone. From young players and first timers to tournament professionals. It’s a place to play, eat, drink, relax, and connect. Whether you’re a regular player or completely new to the sports, Hurlands is about making everyone feel welcome.

What do you think really sets Hurlands apart from other padel and pickleball clubs?

Its the balance between sport and lifestyle. The focus isn’t purely on the game, it’s also about accessibility and experience. The setting, the quality of the facilities, and the attention given to the hospitality side of things all work together, so it feels as good to spend time off court as it does on it.

What kind of atmosphere are you hoping to create at Hurlands, and what can people expect from the food and drink at Kalm Club?

The aim is to create a calm, welcoming, and social atmosphere. Somewhere that feels relaxed but considered. On the food and drink side, people can expect a thoughtfully curated and delicious menu that works just as well for a quick coffee or smoothie as it does for a leisurely lunch after a game with friends.

Aside from the courts themselves, what else can visitors look forward to when they visit Hurlands?

As well as padel and pickleball, Hurlands is designed as a social space. There are comfortable areas to sit and chat and there will be a strong sense of community as it grows. It’s somewhere you will come for a game, but stay for much longer. The health and fitness offering is designed to support life both on and off the court. There are dedicated studios, professional treatment rooms and structured training available.

And finally, what are you personally most excited about as Hurlands is opened up to the community?

Most of all, I’m really excited about seeing people experience it for the first time. Watching the courts come alive, seeing friendships form and feeling the atmosphere build day by day. Hurlands has been created with a lot of care, and we’re so excited to be opening it up to the community.

As Hurlands opens its doors, we can’t wait to see the community take shape, on and off the courts. Whether it’s a quick coffee between games or a more leisurely catch-up afterwards, the Kalm Club will be on hand to welcome you. We’ll be sharing more soon, but for now, we’re excited to see Hurlands come to life.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Kalm Club at Hurlands
