As much as we love making delicious food and beautifully memorable events (and we really do!) Kalm Kitchen was founded to have a positive impact on what we do, redefining what event catering could be.

Making sustainable choices
Events catering – particularly at scale- has the potential to have a high impact on the world around us.
In some ways, sustainable choices also make good business sense.
For instance, we don’t want to create any surplus food waste if it can be helped. But if that does happen, it should be redistributed to those that need it so that nothing goes to waste.
We’re an employer of people, we focus on supporting local, independent companies that also make a positive impact. We can work with like-minded people and businesses and source our produce responsibly. For example, our partnership with Wine & Earth helps us source delicious small-batch organic and biodynamic wine from a Guildford-based company that works with ethically-minded vineyards.

Behind-the-scenes, we’re excited to be working toward B-Corp certification. While we’re on the way, it really helps bring what we do and the way we do it into focus so we can refine what we do.
We hope to share many examples of our Kalm approach to making a positive impact on the community and planet around us.
