Jen brings the service standards, style and attention to detail that makes Kalm Kitchen so special. With a brilliant eye for transforming the ordinary into the magical, she uses everyday objects and natural materials to create exciting settings for the presentation of Kalm Kitchen food, a constantly evolving style that makes every event unique and encourages lively interaction between the guests. Jen’s personal approach and ability to visualise, develop and deliver a client’s concept of their perfect event has become instilled into her team of creative and committed event managers who are constantly measured against Kalm Kitchen’s service objective which is to always exceed expectations.
James discovered his passion for creating great food in a restaurant in Sydney half way through a round the world trip. On his return he trained at the Tante Marie Culinary Academy, where his talents came to the attention of a leading London event caterer. He spent the next few years honing his skills cooking for major events, private clients and multi-national corporate customers before establishing Kalm Kitchen with his partner Jen in 2006. His focus has always been to bring the standards demanded by International clients to every Kalm Kitchen event, however large or small. His approach to food is straightforward; select the best available fresh produce and add just enough magic to allow it to shine.
Lara is an event Manager. She brings passion and enthusiasm to every event and wedding and has a keen eye for detail.
Trudy is an Event Manager and brightens up all of our lives. She is a professional through and through and executes events and weddings to the highest standard. She has the ability to work incredibly closely with clients and fulfil their highest expectations.
Cat is an Event Manager and Staffing assistant. She has been with Kalm Kitchen since the very beginning and knows us all better than we know ourselves! Cat has the ability to put everyone at ease and has a fantastic relationship with our huge pool of waiting and bar staff.
Lauren is our Millbridge Court Manager. New to the events world she’s jumped in feet first and is ready to take on any challenge we throw at her. Obsessed with food, when she’s not working you’ll find her browsing for new recipes to try and enjoy.
Head Pastry Chef extraordinaire! Chris has been with Kalm Kitchen for many years. He has a wealth of knowledge in the catering world and is a senior event expert working at our prestigious parties and weddings. Chris loves nothing more than developing new menus and working closely with clients to fulfil their brief.
Pina joined Kalm Kitchen a year ago as an Apprentice. She brings Mediterranean flair all the way from her home town of Naples, Italy. You can find her in the kitchen at HQ and on events.
Dan is Head of Logistics and generally super man! He manages our warehouse and stock and you can often find him travelling around the country making equipment deliveries. You can also find Dan in the kitchen having worked with James for many years.
Holly is our Office Manager. If we don't know the answer, Holly does! She works closely with clients, the kitchen and the logistics team to make sure your event goes off without a hitch. She also is the proud owner of our office puppy Maya. Maya brings joy into the office everyday and we all take it in turns to take her for her lunchtime walk.
Matt is our unsung hero. He can be found in the pot wash endlessly keeping up with the chefs mess.
Steve is our Financial Director. You will mainly find him creating spreadsheets and raising invoices.
